Editorial policy

RTPBoss mixes a structured database with written explanation. This policy sets out which is which, and the rules that keep the writing honest.

Three kinds of page

  • Database pages — game and casino pages generated from validated database fields. The facts come from the data pipeline, not from prose.
  • Enhanced pages — database pages with generated sentences that describe the validated figures (for example how a game's RTP compares to its studio's average). These build only on fields that already exist.
  • Editorial deep dives — guides and explanations written to help you understand a topic.

To put it precisely: structured game pages are generated from validated database fields; enhanced guides and reviews may receive additional editorial review.

Publishing roles

Content is published under named roles, not personal bylines:

  • RTPBoss Data TeamMaintains the game database, validation rules and source records.
  • RTPBoss Editorial TeamMaintains guides, explanations and editorial policy.
  • RTPBoss Casino Review TeamReviews documented licensing, terms, fees and product information.

These are responsibility roles for classes of output. They are not a claim about how many people work on RTPBoss.

Facts and dates

  • Factual claims about a game or casino must trace to the database and its sources — see the methodology and source policy.
  • Dates reflect real changes. We do not stamp today's date on a page that did not change.
  • Where a genuine publish or update date is not known for older content, we say so rather than invent one.

Automated tools

  • Automated tooling may assist internally with drafting or formatting. It is never treated as a source.
  • Generated text must not introduce a new fact. It may only restate validated fields.
  • Missing information is not filled with generic assumptions — a gap stays a gap.

Conflicts of interest

Some links are commercial. Commercial relationships do not decide data values, confidence status or casino scores. That separation is spelled out in the affiliate disclosure and the casino review methodology.
